LOS ENCUENTROS ("The Meetings"): The idea for this name was born mainly from our roots in
Guatemala (Land of Eternal Spring), and it also pays tribute to this meeting place here at Barstow Station, where people from all over the country and the world meet daily. Families, friends, and solo travelers visit us every day, whether for tourism or business, as we are located at one of the most important intersections in the country: I-15 South-North, from Tijuana at the Mexico-USA border, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana all the way to Canada, ending in Sweet Grass where it connects with the Canadian Alberta Highway 4. Of course, we also connect East to West through the famous Route 66 from Santa Monica, Ca. through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, 2448 miles to Chicago Il.
